I didn't come from money, mentors, or a plan. I came from the opposite. Here's how I built a life anyway — and why I now spend it helping others do the same.
Most people who teach this stuff will sell you a highlight reel. I'd rather show you the whole road — because if you knew where I started, you'd never again believe your own starting point is an excuse.

That verse up top means everything to me. Psalm 126:6 is a promise that the seeds you plant in your hardest, most tearful seasons aren't wasted — they grow into a harvest of joy. Every painful thing I went through was a seed. This academy is the harvest. It's the reason I live by three words: never give up.
A HOUSE THAT WAS’T SAFE

I was born in Louisville and moved young. Home wasn't stable — there was addiction, there was abuse, and from an early age I was the one looking out for my younger brothers instead of the other way around.
Most kids get to just be kids. I learned to read a room, keep the peace, and handle things nobody that age should have to handle.

Responsibility and self-reliance — long before I had a choice about it.

DROPPED OFF, AND LEFT
In sixth grade, I was dropped at my grandmother's and my mother didn't come back. My grandmother became the first real stability I ever had — she kept us fed, kept us in sports, made sure we showed up every single day.
That's where I first felt what structure does for a person. Perfect attendance. Real meals. A schedule you could count on. It sounds small. It changed everything.

The belief that discipline and structure can rescue a life — the whole foundation of what I teach now.

ON MY OWN AT 16
Things shifted again and I moved out at sixteen. For a couple of years I ran with the wrong crowd and drifted — no direction, no plan, just surviving.
Then one day I looked around and realized these weren't the people I wanted to become. So I walked away from it. That was the first time I chose my future over my comfort.

The hardest skill in trading and in life: cutting what's holding you back, even when it's familiar.

FINDING THE MARKETS
I got introduced to trading at the tail end of high school. The first person who showed me wrapped it in a scheme, so I made nothing — but the spark was lit. I started taking the online world seriously and taught myself, the slow and hard way.
No shortcut. No guru handing me the answers. Just screen time, mistakes, and the discipline my grandmother modeled years earlier.
Proof that you can learn anything on your own if you're willing to out-work your excuses.

SHOWING UP WHEN IT MATTERED MOST
At twenty, I moved in to care for my great-grandparents. When my great-grandmother's health failed, I was there through all of it — driving to see her every day, and later giving hands-on care around the clock when the nurses couldn't.
I built BBB Academy and got serious about trading in the same season I was doing that. You don't need perfect conditions to build something. You need to show up. I learned that for real during those years.

I never had a father to hand me a blueprint. I never had a roadmap for money, discipline, or how to keep going when everything told me to quit.
So God became the blueprint. Faith is the reason I didn't become my circumstances — and it's the foundation underneath everything BBB Academy is built on.
I'm not here to preach at anyone. But I won't hide the thing that saved me, either. Every student who walks in gets the whole picture: mind, body, and spirit.
Everything I wish someone had handed me at the start, I built into one place — so the next person from a hard start doesn't have to figure it all out alone.
